HONOR introduces X6a and X5 Plus budget 4G phones

HONOR Malaysia has introduced two feature packed budget phones to its portfolio, they are the HONOR X6a and X5 Plus, which comes with identical features such as a 6.56-inch HD+ 90Hz display with a waterdrop notch, large 5200mAh battery, and powered by the same Mediatek Helio G36 processor.

Aside from their different back covers, the HONOR X6a and X5 Plus differs the most in their camera setups, while both their main cameras are the same 50-megapixel lens, the X6a has two supplementary 2MP depth and macro cameras, while the X5 Plus only has secondary depth camera.

Both phones have the same 5MP front camera that’s capable of shooting 1080p videos.

Under the hood, the X6a has more RAM and storage with 6GB and 128GB respectively, while the X5 Plus is only equipped with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage.

Although these phones have the same battery capacity, only the X6a will support 22.5W Honor SuperCharge, while the X5 Plus will charge at a much slower 10W output.

In other features, the X6a and X5 Plus comes with NFC, Bluetooth 5.1 with aptX HD and LDAC support, WiFi 5 with 5GHz network bandwidth, and MagicOS 7.1 based on Android 13.

The HONOR X6a comes in Midnight Black and Sky Silver and carries a retail price of RM599, while the HONOR X5 Plus comes in Cyan Lake color and carries a retail price of RM449.

These phones can now be purchased at HONOR Stores nationwide, Shopee and Lazada.
