Honor introduces Honor Band A2 with significant upgrades

Honor seems to be the next alternative if you can’t afford Huawei’s products. Plus, it is a subsidiary company of the latter. The Chinese sub brand has reiterated its fitness tracking wearable without giving it a price increase. The Honor Band A2 features some notable upgrades from its predecessor at the same price point.

First off, the Honor Band A2 now has an OLED touch display measuring at a little less than an inch (0.96-inches). This is a welcome addition from its screen-less predecessor. With the display, users can now view notifications on the Honor Band A2 when paired with their smartphone. Fitness details such as steps, sleeping duration and calories burned can be viewed on the screen. Another significant addition is the heart rate sensor, which is now a standard requirement in the fitness wearable market.

The Honor Band A2 features excellent battery life as well, being able to be charged in 90 minutes, providing up to 9 days of battery life. The wearable is also water and dust resistant with an IP67 rating. It comes with a silicon strap with ridges that helps with better air flow and sweat resistance. Straps are offered in 4 color options as well.

The Honor Band A2 seems like a must buy considering that it is of the same price as its predecessor when it was introduced. The wearable costs an affordable 199 yuan (RM123.98) and will go on sale on the 9th of June next month.
