HONOR Connect now available on Android, iOS and Windows for faster file transfers

In just a matter of four months after announcing the HONOR Alpha Plan, HONOR has finally unveiled its highly anticipated cross platform file transfer service today, the HONOR Connect app promises fast and seamless file transfers to and from HONOR devices on Android, iOS and Windows, macOS support is coming soon at a later date.

With HONOR Connect, HONOR smartphones will finally be able to transfer large files wirelessly over different platforms, the company promises speeds of up to 85Mbps when transferring files to iOS devices, up to 40Mbps with Android devices, this service essentially taps on the HONOR Magic Ring feature that’s available on HONOR smartphones and tablets running MagicOS 8.0 and newer.

The feature aims to break the ecosystem lock-in that certain manufacturers implement on their smartphones, esepcially when it comes to iOS devices, where sharing files to and from Android devices is a tedious effort and users will usually require to send it over instant messaging apps or email, HONOR Connect eliminates that and allows files and photos to be shared instantly between iOS and HONOR devices.
