With HONOR Malaysia teasing the arrival of the HONOR 20 Pro in the country, it leaves many Malaysians excited for what’s to come, considering the 20 Pro’s camera is only bested by the Huawei P30 Pro and Samsung Galaxy S10 5G (according to DxOMark).

With the trade ban now somewhat lifted, HONOR and Huawei have a new-found confidence in pushing their devices – and the former will be adding to the excitement with the introduction of the HONOR 9X and 9X Pro.

We recently reported of the mid-range device’s appearance on TEENA – but now we have more concrete evidence of its existence with leaked renders of the phone. The renders show that the HONOR 9X will come with a dual camera setup while the 9X Pro will come with three lenses at the back. Both devices will sport a 16MP pop-up selfie camera.

The phones will also be available in a range of colours such as black, gradient blue, purple and even red.

We’ve reported on the possible specs for the phones before, but here’s a little refresher on what you can expect – the HONOR 9X will come with a Kirin 980 chipset, a 6.59-inch display, up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage, a 4,000mAh battery and a 48MP + 2MP back camera setup.

The HONOR 9X Pro will sport the same chipset and screen, but will be offered with 8GB RAM and up to 256GB internal storage. You can expect a 48MP + 2MP + 8MP camera setup as well as a 4000mAh battery.

We can expect the phones to ship with Android 9 with EMUI 9.1 on top – not Magic UI 2.1.
