Sporting a 6.7-inch 1.5K OLED 120Hz display that sports an impressive 3840Hz PWM Dimming, the Honor 90’s display has been certified by TUV Rheinland as a risk-free display for the human eye for low brightness viewing, it has an under screen optical fingerprint reader and continues to feature a premium metallic design that differentiates itself from the segment.
The Honor 90 is powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 Accelerated Edition chipset paired with 12GB RAM and up to 512GB of storage, making this a direct competitor to the realme 11 Pro+ 5G that is also announced today, and also one of the few phones within the segment that comes with large internal storage, the phone also happens to feature a 200-megapixel main camera and assisted by 2-megapixel ultrawide and 2-megapixel depth cameras, and it one upped its competition with a front 50-megapixel camera that’s capable of capturing 4K videos.
Juiced by a 5000mAh battery, the Honor 90 supports 66W Honor SuperCharge fast charging.
The Honor 90 Lite is a specced down version of the Honor 90, though having a similar 6.7-inch display size, it uses an IPS panel that pushes 1080p resolution at 90Hz, it is also powered by a lower end Mediatek Dimensity 6020 chipset with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage, but the phone is thankfully still 5G capable.
Camera wise, the Honor 90 Lite has a 100-megapixel main camera that’s assisted by 5-megapixel and 2-megapixel macro cameras, which isn’t too shabby, the front camera still takes rather high-resolution photos at 16-megapixel, while its 5000mAh battery will charge much slower at 22.5W.
In a surprising move, the Honor Pad X9 tablet introduced is a 4G LTE model, which means you can pop in a SIM card and always stay connected, this 11.5-inch tablet features a 120Hz display and is powered by an efficient Snapdragon 685 processor with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage, which should overall make this a really good mid-range tablet for media consumption and casual productivity tasks.
On top of that, Honor has also added a new 8GB+256GB storage variant for the outgoing Honor Pad 8 tablet.
These new Honor devices will be available for purchase starting 22 July 2023 onwards, the Honor 90 comes in two storage variants of 12GB+256GB and 12GB+512GB, they will retail for RM1,799 and RM2,099 respectively.
The Honor 90 Lite and Honor Pad X9 both retail for RM1,099.
The Honor Pad 8 with 8GB+256GB storage retails for RM1,499.
They can all be purchased at all Honor Stores, authorized dealers, HiHonor.com, Lazada and Shopee.
