Smartphone manufacturers these days play copycat among each other. Chinese manufacturers in particular are often accused of deliberately taking design elements directly from a fellow manufacturer. Meizu, a company that has been thriving well in China is known for the copy and paste phenomenon has launch yet another smartphone which take design cues from Huawei this time. The Meizu M3X looks very much like Huawei’s Honor 8 in terms of looks, but its internals are a whole new different story.
Based on the image above. you can tell that the Meizu M3X comes in a similar blue color option like that of the Honor 8. The former also features a rear glass panel like the latter. Basically, that’s all there is to it for a Meizu copy paste tactic. The M3X sports a 5.5-inch LCD display at Full HD resolution. The phone is powered by a MediaTek Helio P20 processor clocked at 2.3 GHz. It comes in two memory configurations – 3GB of RAM with 32GB of storage and 4GB of RAM with 64GB of storage.
In terms of its camera, the Meizu M3X features the same 12MP Sony IMX386 sensor as the rear camera like seen on the Meizu Pro 6 Plus, but with lesser additional features. On the front is a selfie shooter of 5 megapixels with f/2.0 aperture. The handset packs a 3,200mAh battery that sounds just about sufficient to provide good battery life. It also supports fast charging.
The Meizu M3X will set you back 1,699 CNY for the 3GB RAM/32GB variant and 1,999 CNY for the higher end 4GB RAM/64GB variant. What do you think of this Honor 8 lookalike handset?
