The Honor 7X looks an awful lot like the Honor 8 Pro

Huawei’s subsidiary Honor has finally launched the Honor 7X, around a year after the unveiling of the budget dual camera Honor 6X. The Honor 6X opened the gateway for a range of new affordable dual camera devices, being one itself. This is the Honor 7X, and it looks eerily similar to one of Honor’s previous flagships,

First things first, the Honor 7X features a 5.93-inch display on the front in Full HD+ resolution. The display is flanked by very minimal bezels, and is likely to be of a similar size compared to its predecessor. The full screen display definitely makes it a more attractive device in general. Underneath the hood, the Honor 7X is powered by Huawei’s Kirin 659 chipset, the same one that powers the Huawei Nova 2i. The processor is backed up by 4GB of RAM, and comes in storage options of 32GB or 64GB.

Moving on to the back of device, it clearly reminds us of the Honor 8 Pro flagship, which isn’t exactly a bad thing. In fact, it makes the Honor 7X look like a premium high end device, though the metal body would mean the absence of wireless charging. The dual camera setup consists of 16MP + 2MP sensors, which will enable features such as blurred background shots and portrait mode. The front facing camera of 8 megapixels should do selfies justice as well. Below the camera setup sits the rear fingerprint sensor. The Honor 7X packs a decently sized 3,340mAh battery.

No pricing information has been revealed just yet. What we do know is the phone will be available for purchase via Amazon India. The global availability of the Honor 7X will likely be in December or early 2018.
