HMD Global is releasing a mysterious Nokia X phone on 27 April

HMD Global has recently released the Nokia 1 and Nokia 7 Plus in Malaysia last week. However, they are not taking a break and are ready to announce yet another mysterious new phone called the Nokia X. No, it’s not a rival to the iPhone X, but it might be a new flagship or mid-range phone from the manufacturer.

The teaser for the phone popped up in China, showing the sides of the phone in an X position with a caption for its release date on April 27. Although it does not show much on the phone, rumours are indicating it will come with two variants of 4GB and 6GB of RAM and comes with either a Snapdragon or MediaTek processors. It is still unsure if the phone will have a global release or it will be limited to the China market.

In 2014, when the Nokia brand was under Microsoft, the company released a few Android-based phones called Nokia X, but it looks like they won’t have any relations with the previous Nokia X phones. The X in its name likely stands for ex and not ten. We will see what HMD Global plans to do with these phones when it release date comes around.
