Grab officially launches GrabRewards program

Grab has officially launched their rewards program, rewarding all new members and old members alike. GrabRewards is the region’s first-ever ride-hailing passenger loyalty programme offering a rewarding Grab ride experience for its passengers. Some of you might have already know about this reward program that was introduced back in December 2016, where a selected group of members were giving the opportunity to pilot test this new feature. The more frequent a passenger rides with Grab the more points they will accumulate, using the points they earn to redeem discounted rides from Grab to exclusive promotions from Rewards Partners.

Users will be placed in tiers based on the points they accumulated where RM1 spent is equaling to 1 point, based on the total spent in the last six months, users will be either placed in Sliver, Gold or Platinum, with new passengers starting at the Member tier. Grab is also pushing all rides to be cashless by rewarding passengers that use GrabPay, which is Grab’s cashless payment method, 10 times more points and 5 times more for cash payment, supporting the conversion of a cashless economy for Southeast Asia.

GrabRewards Partners such as Tesco, Happy Fresh, myBurgerLab, Forever 21, Flower Chimp, Zalora and dahmakan have also come on board by offering exclusive deals to all passengers, in addition to that passengers can redeem RM5, RM10 and RM15 off rides where the redemption value is up to 8.8% from the total spent on Grab. You can check your status of your tier in the app by opening the menu on the top left and selecting Rewards Member.

The Mi 4 is currently available at grey import market but it doesn't support the local LTE networks. Xiaomi Malaysia will be bringing in the FDD LTE version of the phone which was just released in China, so this is an early review of the phone's overall user experience.
