Grab expands its service to four additional cities

Ridesharing service Grab is expanding once again as the service will be made available to an additional four cities situated in both East Malaysia and Peninsular Malaysia.

Starting from today, GrabCar will now be available in Ipoh, Kuantan, Kuching and Seremban. Grab also mentions that the GrabCar service is available in the districts of Nilai and Port Dickson as well, so those living in the are will have access to the service if they want to.

In order to celebrate GrabCar’s expansion into these four cities, the service will be launching an exclusive promotion in the cities mentioned above. From the 15th to 31st of March, GrabCar customers can use the promo code HIGRAB5 to enjoy RM5 discount for their next 10 rides.

“Since the introduction of GrabCar in Klang Valley as a complementary service to taxis, the service has quickly risen to be one of the preferred alternative mode of transporation,” says Sean Goh, Country Head of Grab Malaysia. “As a Malaysian homegrown company, we understand local nuances and consumer needs, therefore we are able to work alongside the government to address the transport issues in the country.”
