Grab and Hotlink prepares the Pokemobile in anticipation of the launch of Pokémon Go

With Pokémon Go expected to be launched in Malaysia sometime Soon™, Grab and Hotlink have teamed up to provide aspiring Pokémon Masters a service that may ease the whole catch ’em all process. The service in question? The PokeMobile.

Available on the first two days of the official launch of Pokémon Go in Malaysia, Grab and Hotlink will be deploying four Nissan Almeras with Pokémon-themed livery as the PokeMobile. Operating within the Klang Valley area, these PokeMobile will provide free rides to customers to the nearest Pokéstop. Drivers of the PokeMobile will be provided with an iPad that runs Pokémon Go, allowing them to monitor the locations of Pokéstops. These cars are also outfitted with USB charging ports, allowing players to recharge their devices while riding to the next location.

Besides free rides to Pokéstops, Hotlink customers will also receive USD100 worth of Pokecoins for free if they manage to catch a PokeMobile. For those who aren’t lucky enough to spot one of these cars, Hotlink will be offering a 10-percent discount on all Pokecoin purchases for its customers until the end of the year. This offer will also be extended to other in-app purchases made from Google Play games such as Clash of Clans, Candy Crush Sage, and many more. Unfortunately, it appears that this offer will not be available to iOS users.
