Google will be unveiling Android Oreo Go Edition phones during MWC 2018

Google has mentioned that we will be seeing the first batch of the Android Oreo Go Edition phones at MWC 2018. They have not revealed what these phones are but they did mention that some of these phones will be priced under $50 (RM195.03) which makes it super affordable.

Android Oreo Go Edition is a custom version of Android Oreo which is made for phones that have low-end hardware. It comes with a stock Android experience comes with optimized apps and a Play Store that highlights apps that are not performance demanding. Google has also said that we can expect 15% faster app performance on entry-level phones and twice the storage, thanks to the OS taking 50% less space. Phones with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of storage will still offer a high-quality experience according to Google.

Aside from that, we are also expected to see a range of Android One phones, as some of Google’s partners will be showcasing their entries during the event.
