Google has silently launched their official store in Malaysia with Lazada

After the launching of the Google Pixel phones, it would seem that Google wants to make themselves known here in our own home soil. If you go over to the Google Store now, you will see that the store is now in the Bahasa Malaysia language. However, there are only two products displayed at the current moment, the Chromecast 2 and Chromecast Audio.

When pressing on Cari Penruncit ( Find sellers) it will list that only Lazada is the official store for the Google products and inside we can see the prices for both the devices and that seller is Lazada.

This is excellent for those of you that want to get official products directly from Google and after doing a brief search, I found that they have the cheapest price listed out of all the other trusted sellers. So what could this mean? We hope, that Google is coming in and officially pushing their products to the Malaysian market, as they have announced a range of gadget during the Pixel 2 launch that happened early in the morning.

We also hope to see the Google Home and perhaps even the Google Daydream. As for me, I am really eyeing the Chromecast 2 so I can just control everything from the comfort of my bed. Let’s hope that in the coming weeks Google will decide to add more of their products to the store or perhaps even open up an official store page on Lazada’s platform.
