Google Play gift cards finally arrive in Malaysia’s 7-Eleven stores

While Google Play gift cards are not something new to other countries, its availability in Malaysia is definitely something unheard of. The gift cards are now available in Malaysia, and while it might not be seen nationwide yet, it was already spotted at 7-Eleven stores in Kuala Lumpur.

The gift card comes in three different amounts; RM50, RM100 and RM200. The gift cards can be used for purchase of things in the Google Play Store such as newsstands, movies, books and apps. The gift card will only be available in 7-Eleven stores in Malaysia for now, as listed on the Google Play’s official website.

The gift card can be useful for those who do not own credit or debit cards and want to purchase apps from the Play Store. That being said, if the Android user actually has a credit/debit card, then the Google Play gift card will probably be a minor news to them, though it can also be a great gift idea.

There is also a maximum amount that one can have on their account, and that is RM2,999. Like many other gift cards sold on 7-Eleven stores, the Google Play gift card will need to purchased at the store before user is allowed to redeem the credits through their Google Account on their Android devices.
