After so many years, Malaysians will finally be able to purchase Google Pixel phones officially in Malaysia, as confirmed by our friends at Soyacincau.com through local retailer Urban Republic, Google’s upcoming Pixel 9 series will be the first Pixel phones to be officially sold here.
Google has already shown how the Pixel 9 series will look like in a teaser video, which will come in a foldable and candy bar while featuring a bolder camera bump, while it is expected to pack with full of Gemini AI features and powered by a new Tensor chip.
At this time of writing, Urban Republic’s online store has already listed Google as one of the smartphone brands it will be retailing, while other major retailers such as DirectD and Mobile2Go should follow suit in the coming weeks, though we aren’t sure who is the official distributor for Google Pixel phones and how after sales will be offered, but we can be sure that they can also be purchased directly from the official Google Store.
Google’s decision to officially bring in Pixel phones could be in light of the recent opening of Apple Store in the The Exchange TRX Mall, as Apple stems its presence here as its key market, it naturally influences Google to set up shop here for its smartphones to compete, so yeah, let’s look forward to a physical Google Store soon.
