Google Pixel 5 specs leaked: Snapdragon 765G with 90Hz display

The Google Pixel 5 is the next big-name flagship that’ll enter the market, and as usual, people have somehow managed to get hold of its specs ahead of its release. According to WinFuture (via GSM Arena), the flagship actually doesn’t come with a premium chipset; it’ll instead pack a Snapdragon 765G chip, which confirms our previous report. This means that the phone will not support the faster mmWave 5G connection, but only the more widely-available Sub-6 networks. There’s just 8GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage – which should be enough for day-to-day usage; perhaps the higher-end Pixel 5 models will pack a higher capacity. The phone come with a 6-inch FHD+ OLED panel that pushes a 90Hz refresh rate with HDR support. The display is layered with Corning Gorilla Glass 6 for added protection. Image credit: Pricebaba Photography has always been the Pixel’s strongest suit – even with a 12.2MP main lens and a 16MP ultrawide shooter, the Pixel 5 should still produce fantastic images thanks to its ever-reliable software. For selfies, there’s an 8MP camera that packs a decent 83-degree field-of-view. In terms of video recording, you get a respectable 4K @ 60FPS setting, or even 1080p at 240FPS for smoother slow-mo effects. There’s a 4,080mAh battery and an 18W charging brick. That’s all we know about the phone so far – and although Google Pixels have never really been blessed with the best specs, the Pixel 5 does seem a tad underwhelming. We can only assume that Google is keeping the higher-end stuff for their pricier models.
