The Pixel 4 is launching in two week’s time, but there have been so many leaks regarding the device that we almost don’t need any more information — except for its price. Google also included a new voice recorder app called “Recorder”, which supports automatic audio transcription.
According to XDA Developers who received the update, not only does the update offer automatic audio transcription, it also comes with audio search that allows users to find certain words or phrase from their audio recording. This means you can record your speeches and the app will transcribe it into texts, in addition to using keywords to skip to the parts of speech you’re looking for.
XDA Developers also found several features when they explore the APK files, including a retail demo mode — probably for when the Pixel 4 are demo-ed in retail stores, recognised audio events such as laughter, applause, bird, dog and so on, and also that the app currently only support English (U.S) language for transcription.
Just like the Pixel 4, we’re expecting this new feature to be announced on October 15.
