Venu Sq: Latest Garmin smartwatch launched with built-in GPS

Garmin adds two more affordable GPS smartwatches in its lineup today — the Garmin Venu Sq and Venu Sq Music Edition.

Is the Garmin Venu Sq directly competing against the Fitbit Versa 2?

If we were to compare, the new Venu Sq and Venu Sq Music Edition resemble the Fitbit Versa 2 that was launched last year. Each comes with a square watch face using a 1.3-inch Corning Gorilla Glass panel and has built-in GPS, but the Music Edition sports an additional Spotify compatibility and has on-device music storage.

Health monitor tools and built-in sports apps

In terms of fitness, the watch comes with a bunch of health monitoring features like menstrual tracking, sleep tracking, heart rate taking and stress tracking. Garmin also included mindful breathing activities to help users promote sleep, reduce stress and enhance focus. Sports enthusiasts will find the 20 built-in indoor and outdoor sports apps helpful in their daily training while casual users will enjoy the smartwatch features such as incident detection and LiveTrack which allows you friends and family to track your activity and location in real time when needed.

Price and availability

The Garmin Venu Sq can be purchased at RM999 while the Music Edition is available at RM1,250. You can get the new smartwatches on Lazada, Shopee, AECO Online Shop and all authorised Garmin retailers.
