Garmin has launched its latest wearable today in Malaysia, the Garmin Venu.

It has a 1.2-inch Always On AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and is coupled with 20mm interchangeable bands for more variety. In addition, it has a 5ATM water-rating so you can take it to shower or swimming.

Weighing at only 46.3g, the Garmin Venu supports GPS and has many sensors including a barometer, a compass, gyroscope, thermometer and Pulse OX. You can track your sleep, your heart rate, steps taken daily and even your stress levels. For females, Garmin also offer menstrual cycle tracking via the Garmin Connect app.

The Garmin Venu has over 20 preloaded GPS and inner sports activities, including the basics like walking, running and cycling. Moreover, the smartwatch has yoga and pilates function and also animated workouts. Users can also create custom workouts via the app and utilise Garmin Coach for free personal running coach.

In addition to that, the Garmin Venu works great as a smartwatch. It can receive smart notifications and reply texts when you’re using an Android phone and if you like to exercise phone-free, you can download songs from your Spotify, Deezer or Amazon Music into the watch. On smartwatch mode, the Garmin Venu can last up to 5 days while its GPS mode with music can last up to 6 hours.

The Garmin Venu comes in four variants: Black with Slate, Light Sand with Rose Gold, Black with Gold and Granite Blue with Silver. The first two colours are available from October 9 at Garmin roadshow in Mid Valley and also all authorised retailers while the other two will be available a month later. The Garmin Venu will cost RM1,799.
