Galaxy Unpacked 2021: No new Galaxy Note, but S Pen for foldable phones confirmed

The latest editorial from Samsung’s newsroom has confirmed two things — there will be no Galaxy Note 21 this year, but the rumoured S Pen for the Galaxy foldable phones is now confirmed.

Samsung’s focus falls on the Galaxy Z this year, not the Galaxy Note

In the upcoming event, Samsung will be focusing on its Samsung Galaxy Z phones, the Galaxy Z Fold3 and the Galaxy Z Flip 3. This the third generation of its foldable phones in which the former folds like a book and the latter reminds you of your old flip phones.

“The upcoming Galaxy Z Fold combines the very best that smartphones and tablets offer and delivers completely new ways of working, connecting and creating, while the upcoming Z Flip exhibits an even more refined style, armed with more durable, stronger materials,” says Dr. TM Roh, the President and Head of Mobile Communications Business of Samsung Electronics.

We are also expecting to see the next Galaxy Watch4 Active and Classic; though it’s not mentioned in the editorial, Samsung briefly brought up their One UI Watch user interface.

A special S Pen is coming!

More importantly, Samsung confirmed the S Pen that will be compatible with its foldable phones. This stylus is expected support Air Actions, allowing users to control it as if it’s a wand.
