Galaxy S8 pre-orders exceed 1 million in South Korea

Samsung continues to impress us with its latest flagship Galaxy S8 series days before its official release on April 21. This time round, pre-orders for the Galaxy S8 has reportedly exceeded the 1 million mark in Samsung’s home turf South Korea. This has turned out to be the highest ever recorded figure in terms of pre-orders in South Korea.

The South Korean manufacturer has set a 60 million target for the sale of its flagship series, which is 8 million more than the Galaxy S7 units sold. Counterpoint Research suggests that Samsung will be able to surpass that figure, with a prediction that the company will sell over 50 million units of the Galaxy S8 in this year alone. Moreover, Samsung is slated to keep its high sales momentum till Apple launches its next iPhone later this year.

It is no surprise that the Galaxy S8 series is currently in high demand. Many claim the handset to be the most beautiful device that has ever been made. The S8 screams premium throughout – an edge to edge display with an 18:9 aspect ratio, along with extremely minimal bezels, the top of the line Snapdragon 835 processor, plus an impressive camera package altogether. Speaking of which, the pre-order units of the Samsung Galaxy S8 in Malaysia have been sold out, so you might have to wait for the next batch if you haven’t yet ordered yours.
