Galaxy Note 7 FE abbreviation revealed

After months of speculation, we now know what the Galaxy Note 7 FE stands for. An easel poster was spotted in South Korea, with the image surfaced up on Chinese micro blogging site Weibo. It is more or less confirmed that the “FE” in the Galaxy Note 7 FE stands for Fan Edition.

The Galaxy Note 7 was one of the promising smartphones unveiled in 2016, but succumbed to its discontinuation due to multiple fire hazard incidents worldwide as a result of its unsafe battery. The phablet was initially issued with a recall before eventually discontinued.

The Galaxy Note 7 FE is said to be refurbished Galaxy Note 7 with a safer and smaller battery. The phone is slated to be unveiled in selected markets such as South Korea and India with a significantly lower price tag.

With that being said, Samsung should pace carefully with the Galaxy Note 7 FE, given the Note 7’s bad reputation as a result of its crisis. Another fire hazard and that will be the end of the Note 7’s revival. Regardless, the Galaxy Note 7 FE is expected to still be popular among potential consumers when it goes on sale on its rumored 7th July date.
