Fruit Ninja arriving to VR headsets

Remember Fruit Ninja? One of the most popular games from the Google Play Store, former known as the Android Market, a couple of years ago. The fruit slicing game was famous back in the years where Temple Run was still the in-thing. Guess what? Halfbrick Studios, the guys who made Fruit Ninja, will be bringing the game over to VR headsets soon.

Halfbrick Studios has announced that the once popular Fruit Ninja will go VR, and the game will be compatible with major existing VR headsets such as the Oculus Rift, Playstation VR, HTC Vive, with the addition of Google Daydream VR. Fruit Ninja VR’s product mananger, Adam Wood stated that they wanted to bring the immersive VR experience to a simple game such as Fruit Ninja. 

The Oculus Rift and HTC Vive versions of Fruit Ninja VR is set to roll out later this month, with the Playstation VR and Google Daydream VR versions yet to have their release time frames announced. The regular Fruit Ninja app now boasts more than 100 million downloads on the Google Play Store, and Halfbrick Studios are planning to bring back the glory days of fruit slicing.
