Forerunner 745: Garmin releases advanced GPS smartwatch for RM2,499

Garmin’s latest smartwatch is now in Malaysia; the Forerunner 745 is priced at RM2,499 and offers up to 16 hours of battery life when GPS is constantly turned on.

Fitness features

The Forerunner 745 comes with advanced fitness features including VO2 max for running and cycling, advanced running dynamics, muscle oxygen, on-screen workouts and daily workout suggestions. There are also features like Track Run, Improved Recovery Time and Smart Trainer Support that isn’t found on the Forerunner 945 that costs RM2,999.

Various sensors

With a Pulse Ox sensor, Body Battery monitor and stress tracking, the Forerunner 745 makes an idea health accessory that helps you analyse your body condition to make necessary adjustments. As a smartwatch, you’ll also get notifications, music controls, alarm clocks and more.

Forerunner 745 sports similar features as previous models

Similar to the Forerunner 245 and the Forerunner 945, the new Garmin watch has a 5ATM water rating and a 1.2-inch transflective MIP display. It has a battery life of up to 7 days on smartwatch mode, 16 hours on GPS mode and 6 hours on GPS mode with music on.
