The first foldable smartphone is revealed but it not from Samsung, Huawei or LG. Instead, this foldable smartphone is a tablet-phone hybrid known as the FlexPai is from Royole Corporation.
The FlexPai has a 7.8-inch AMOLED display that is about 7.6mm thick when not folded. It does not fold flat and runs on the Snapdragon 8150 processor with either 6/8GB RAM and 128/256/512GB storage. They also support their own Ro-Charge fast charging tech which can charge from 0% to 80% in an hour’s time. The FlexPai also has dual camera with 16MP and 20MP sensors on its front and no cameras were seen on the back of the device.
The FlexPai will be priced from RMB 8999 and is already available for pre-order in China with plans to ship in late December. Other specs of the device is yet to be known, and it is still unsure as to whether the phone will ship out of China.
