FCC listing for Google Pixel 2 phone states it will ship with Android 8.0.1 out of the box

Google has listed its successor to the popular Pixel phone on the FCC website which confirms few of the previous rumours, one of them being the phone will be shipped with the Latest Android 8.0.1 out of the box. This filing was done by HTC, which confirms that rumours that they will be making the smaller variant of the Pixel 2 phone.

Something worth noting is the screenshots which mention an Active Edge feature in the Pixel 2’s Languages, Input and Gestures settings. This is probably the feature which allows users to squeeze the sides of the phone to trigger various functions, similar to whats on the HTC U11. Other than that, the listing also mentions that it will come with at least 64GB of onboard storage and will be equipped with the latest Snapdragon 835 processor.

Other rumours that still have not been confirmed as the two front-facing stereo speakers and the lack of a traditional 3.5mm headphone jack. The design is also rumoured to look the same as the current Pixel phone but with a smaller glass area on the back.
