Facebook now allows you to take 360-degrees photos directly from the mobile app

Facebook is adding a new feature to their social media app that will allow users to take a 360-degrees photo within the app without the need of any extra hardware or third-party apps. The feature will be rolling out to users very soon and the feature will be placed at the top of your News Feed next the Update Status bar.

Prior to this, Facebook does accept panoramic photo and it will convert that photo into a 360-degree image or directly upload a 360 photo directly to Facebook. In addition to that, when the new feature comes, you will also be able to use this 360 photos as cover photos, as well as posting them in albums, groups, timeline and you can even tag people in the photos. Lastly, after taking the picture with the app, you will be asked to select the starting view, which is the first direction the viewer will see when the image loads.
