Samsung Galaxy S7 specifications rumors are in the air but the expectations that the Exynos 8890 chip will hit mass production in December is backed with its latest rumor from South Korea suggesting that they have already begun making its next greatest chip. If the rumors are true, Samsung would have the opportunity to ship the Galaxy S7 in February, following an official unveil in January.

The company might rely on a Snapdragon 820 variant as well, in addition to a rumored Exynos 7422, originally thought to star in the Note5. Meanwhile, there are rumors that state they might ship as many Exynos 8890-powered Galaxy S7 smartphones as it will Snapdragon 820 ones. Previously, the company preferred its in-house chipset solution to solve Qualcomm’s overheating issues which reported happened with the OnePlus 2.

The new Exynos 8890 perhaps will be named as M1 or Mongoose, which will be the first Samsung-made chip to feature custom CPU cores. It will feature a Cat.12 modem, which will allow for download speeds of up to 600Mbps where the network allows it. However, all these are rumors so take it with a pinch of salt and wait for the official statement from Samsung instead.
