Heavy gaming titles on smartphones aren’t as popular as they were before, with the launch of MMORPG titles for smartphones lately. Nevertheless, Huawei’s subsidiary Honor still thinks that gaming plays a big part of the smartphone experience, this time teaming up with game developer Ubisoft in Europe.
The partnership between Ubisoft and Honor results in all European Honor 9 models coming pre-installed with Assassin’s Creed Unity. Exclusivity for gaming isn’t at all alien to the smartphone industry, hence this might be looked as one of the many gimmicky tactics companies pull out on smartphone buyers. Regardless, the Assassin’s Creed Unity mobile gaming title will be exclusively available on the Honor 9 handset for 6 months.
Assassin’s Creed Unity should be a walk in the park for the Honor 9’s Kirin 960 processor underneath the hood. Before this, the title was released on the usual platforms like the PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
Catch the full lowdown on the Honor 9 here. To sum it all up, it is basically a more budget friendly Huawei P10 without the Leica branded cameras. Also, do note that only European Honor 9 models are entitled for this exclusivity.
