The company responsible for the phone is founded by Andy Rubin, Android’s co-founder, with the mission to compete with the elite folk of Android such as Samsung and Huawei. We finally have news that the Essential Phone will be making its debut at select regions.
The Essential Phone was initially claimed to be released within a month from its announcement date in the US but has since failed to fulfill that claim. According to a new report by the Financial Times, Essential is said to be in talks with local UK carriers to release their first ever phone in the near future. The report also indicates that the Essential Phone will be making its debut at select Western European countries. along with Japan in Asia.
Essential’s first ever flagship smartphone sports a near bezel-less like the Galaxy S8 and LG G6, with a 19:10 ratio. The phone also features a dual 13MP camera setup on the back. Speaking of which, the back panel has a pogo pin connector for modular accessories such as Essential’s own 360 camera.
