Seriously, we thought Google Glass is the only commercially available smart glasses in the market. Epson, the brand that is well known for making printers here has released its second-gen Android-powered Moverio BT-200 smart glasses, and yes, we have to mention again – an Android powered smart glasses.

The Moverio BT-200 smart glasses is priced half of the Google Glass at USD$699.99, this pair of smart glasses has a built-in gyroscope, accelerometer, and magnetic compass. Of course, a front-facing camera is also available for augmented-reality apps, photos and videos. The Moverio BT-200 does have a wide variety of connectivity features – which includes WiFi, Bluetooh, and Dolby Mobile sound surround. The smart glasses will shipped with Android 4.0 and has a rate battery life of up to 6 hours. Seriously, Android 4.0?

Cheap price does come with a compromise, the Moverio BT-200 is said to be twice the size of a Google Glass, so you might look like one geeky guy wearing a pair of heavy and bulky glasses walking down the road. If you reside in the US and interested in getting one, head on to the Epson Store to buy one. Lastly, will Epson launch this in Malaysia?
