Besides just making batteries, Energizer have also produced a list of smartphones – most of which have gone under the radar. This time, however, Energizer’s upcoming device will turn heads. Think a smartphone with a, wait for it, 18,000mAh battery!
Energizer introduced the Energizer Power Max P18K Pop smartphone during MWC in Barcelona, and it’s essentially a functional brick with a screen.
Get this: the 6.2-inch phone is a behemoth measuring at 153mm tall, 44.8mm wide and 18mm thick. These are non-official measurements but according to TrustedReviews, the thickness is about as fat as two fingers.
The phone’s 18,000mAh is supposedly able to give you 90 hours of calls, 100 hours of music and standby. You’ll also be able to use the phone as a power bank.
Under its hunk of a boot is a MediaTek Helio 970 processor, 6GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage, expandable via microSD card – so, pretty standard as far as specs go. It runs on Android 9 and sports a triple-camera setup (12MP + 2MP depth sensor + 5MP).
The phone lacks a headphone jack but comes with a USB-C port and supports 18W fast charging.
The phone will be available June this year and has a tentative price tag of around $787 (RM3,206). For that, you get a functional smartphone (albeit a massive one), a power bank, and a weapon to protect yourself with.
