Dual textured HTC Desire 650 Dual SIM announced in Malaysia

As much as performance and specs are important, it’s safe to say that most consumers out there still seek for beautifully designed smartphones. HTC has experimented with tons of designs when it comes to its own line of handsets, and the company’s attempts have prevailed till today. This particular smartphone has a unique design flair to it – 50 percent smooth, 50 percent groove.

The phone mentioned is the HTC Desire 650, which has now made its way to Malaysian shores. This uniquely designed phone that was launched late last year, features a smooth texture on its top half and a grooved texture on its lower half for its rear panel. Specs-wise, the Desire 650 falls into the entry level category – a 5-inch 720p display with Gorilla Glass protection, a MediaTek MT6737t processor with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage under the hood.

The camera department isn’t much of a scream as well. The HTC Desire 650 sports a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP selfie camera, both equipped with BSI sensors. The handset also packs a 3,000mAh battery, which is rather large given its 5-inch non Full HD screen. The aging micro USB port is a disappointment however, plus the fact that it still runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

Having said that, if you don’t expect much from your smartphone, the attractive looking HTC Desire 650 will suit you just fine. Besides, the Malaysian variant of the phone has dual SIM support. It will be available at selected outlets nationwide with a price tag of RM799.
