DJI announces two new Mavic 2 drones

As DJI is set to announce its new drone, we have received a tip from UK drone reseller Heliguy, who has revealed to us that the company would be launching the new Mavic 2 in two variants, the Mavic 2 Pro features a 1-inch Hasselblad f/2.8 sensor that takes 12MP photos and 4K videos, and the Mavic 2 Zoom offers 2x optical zoom capabilities with a 24mm-48mm focal length.

The Mavic 2 continues to offer the same foldable form factor that the series has been famous of. According to Heliguy’s product page, both Mavic 2 drones can reach top speeds of 41mph (65km/h) and flight time of up to 31 minutes, there’s a new ActiveTrack 2.0 that’s claimed to have improved tracking shot, and Advanced Pilot Assistance Systems (APAS) that helps keep the drone safe in complexed environments, the Mavic 2 Pro also gains omnidirecitonal sensors to help accurately avoid obstacles.

Both Mavic 2 Pro and Mavic 2 Zoom will feature DJI’s new and improved OcuSync 2.0 transmission technology, which offers up to 5 miles of range and transmits 1080p live footage to your smartphone’s display. Should Heliguy’s listing is accurate, then the Mavic 2 Pro and Mavic 2 Zoom will retail at £1,299.00 (RM6,850) and £1,099.00 (RM5,795) respectively, we should also expect DJI to sell the Fly More Combo option as well.

Thanks Heliguy for the heads up!
