Digi’s Carrier Billing is now available for Apple’s App Store, Apple Music and iTunes

Digi has joined the bandwagon of telcos that are allowing purchases from the Apple App Store directly from your mobile phone account. The service is available to all Digi customers in Malaysia and includes postpaid and prepaid customers making sure no one is left out.

To take advantage of this feature, new or existing Apple ID members can change or select their payment method as Carrier Billing from your account settings in the App Store. This method can be done on either an iPhone, Mac or windows computer and the new payment option will allow for one-tap purchasing from all your apple devices including Apple Tv and Apple Watch.

As mentioned, Digi is not the first telco that is enabling its users to purchase apps and billing them to their phone bills, but it is nice to know more telcos are adopting this idea as it makes payment much easier when many banks are blocking transactions from services such as this.
