Digi finally supports eSIM for the latest iPhone models

Finally, Digi customers will also be able to enjoy eSIM, a technology that offers you “embedded” SIM so you’ll no longer need to rely on a physical SIM.

eSIM will soon be widely used because it is super convenient and also simple. Basically, you just need to scan a QR code from Digi that comes with a SIM profile that is exclusive for your device.

For iPhone devices, this means they can finally equip the dual-SIM function that has been integrated in them. For the rest, it simply means you no longer physical SIM cards. That being said, iPhones seem to be the only eligible devices to use Digi’s eSIM for now — the rest will have to wait for a later announcement.

According to Digi, all Digi Postpaid, Prepaid and Broadband plans will support eSIM, and these eSIM is available at all participating Digi Stores. Whether you are a Digi Postpaid user or a Digi Prepaid user with a physical SIM, you can get the Digi eSIM for free — for a limited time — by going to the nearest participating Digi Store and requesting for a SIM Replacement for eSIM.

After you’ve obtained your QR code — which is your eSIM, you’ll have to connect to a Wi-Fi network, select Cellular or Mobile Data, tap Add Cellular Plan and scan the QR code. You can also opt to receive the QR code via email.
