Dell has today unveiled four new Inspiron laptops on its 5000 and 7000 series, available in screen sizes of 13 and 14 inches, they come in the 2-in-1 and standard laptop form factors.
For the 7000 series, the company has unveiled the Inspiron 13 2-in-1 (7386) and Inspiron 13 7380 laptops, which both sports a very premium design with thin display bezels and is powered by Intel’s 8th Gen Core U processors.
Both laptops will come equipped with 8GB of DDR4-2400 RAM and 256GB of PCIe NVME storage for the base model, they sport a battery life of up to 9 hours and 31 minutes and charges via USB-C Power Delivery or Dell’s standard AC adapter.
The Inspiron 13 2-in-1 in particular can be configured with an optional 4K display, and it is the first laptop to feature a 2.7mm miniaturised webcam that offers great low light performance with a Temporal Noise Reduction technology. The laptop also comes with Amazon’s Alexa assistant preloaded as an alternative to Microsoft’s Cortana.
The mid-range 5000 series are pretty attractive devices too, there’s the Inspiron 14 5000 2-in-1 (5482) and Inspiron 14 5480. Like the 7000 series, these laptops are also powered by 8th Gen Intel Core U processors, however they both offer entry-level discrete graphics, the 5482 uses a GeForce MX130 while the 5480 uses a GeForce MX150.
Apart from launching the new laptops, Dell has also taken the opportunity to introduce two new entry-level gaming monitors with 144Hz refresh rate and AMD Freesync in 24” and 27”. Available starting today on Dell’s online store and authorised resellers, prices of the new Dell Inspiron 7000 and 5000 series are detailed as below:
