Dell Malaysia silently introduces 7th generation Intel Core processors to new Inspiron 15 5000 series

Intel’s new Kaby Lake processors is now the next big thing in PCs and just a few day after its announcement, Dell seems to have silently introduced a new line of Inspiron 15 5000 series laptops that uses the chipmaker’s new processor, the new Inspiron 15 5000 series is a mid-range 15-inch notebook that is targeted at casual users, it uses Intel’s low power U processors and is available from Core i3 up to Core i7 configurations, if you want to do a little gaming, Dell offers an AMD R7 M445 discrete GPU with 4GB of GDDR5 memory on the top spec model.

The new Inspiron 15 5000 series notebook sadly isn’t offered with a high resolution display at this point of time, though Dell mentions that a you can configure the laptop with a Full HD display in the product page, it comes with a standard 1366 x 768 resolution in all its configurations, the notebook also comes with a 1TB 5400rpm hard drive as standard with no options for upgrading to a SSD or hybrid hard drive. Otherwise, the Insprion 15 still comes with an optical drive and the most recent connectivity options, which includes dual band WiFi 802.11ac wireless card and Bluetooth 4.2.
