Dear Maxis, how can I get a Galaxy S8 from RM28/month?

I’m a proud Maxis customer signed up with the telco’s MaxisONE 128 postpaid plan, the telco may not be the most innovative telco out there when it comes to features and services, the network however has never failed me in most places I travel around the country. Today, the telco has done another social media blunder just like it did back then, by advertising the Galaxy S8’s monthly Zerolution payment fee wrongly from RM28/month, yet giving a totally different reply to a customer and avoiding answers by simply asking me to post my question at the ‘Ask Maxis’ page.

Maxis, I’m now disappointed.

Now, if your social media guy could respond to another customer that the monthly commitment should start from RM128/month, why are you asking me to leave another message at your ‘Ask Maxis’ page? In fact, the telco’s offcial website clearly states that the Galaxy S8 can be afforded from RM128/month on Zerolution with the MaxisONE 128 plan, so why is the telco’s social media guy so ignorant on this? What’s even worse here, is that even though the telco has clarified with the said customer as you can see in the screenshot above, why haven’t they changed the posting? Is there a secret promotion that we all should know?

This isn’t the first social media blunder by Maxis, the telco has previously angered netizens over the response of its cheaper postpaid plans with better data quota for East Malaysia customers. Maxis, please don’t start another social media war between your customers. Sincerely yours, your paying MaxisONE customer and tech journalist who wants to provide our readers with accurate information.
