Mid-tower cases are usually cramped without much space for expansion, but Cooler Master sees it differently as it has announced the MasterBox 5, a mid-tower CPU chassis that aims to offer flexibility for expansion without compromising on compactness. Cooler Master has claimed that the MasterBox 5 can fit in E-ATX sized motherboards and install two extra-long dual-slot graphics card, while you can also opt to install liquid cooling with up to 360mm radiator effortlessly. In addition, the MasterBox 5’s modular design of the interior and motherboard tray allows flexible mounting options, for instance the SSD brackets and HDD bays can be rearranged to front and back positions of the case, there’s also a lot of routing holes to make cable management easy.
Looking at the pictures, the Cooler Master MasterBox 5 seems like a fun mid-tower chassis and will certainly give PC DIY enthusiasts flexibility in customization if space constraint is an issue for putting their rigs in their room. The MasterBox 5 comes in Black and Black & White color options, it is now in stores and has an asking price of RM399.
