COMPUTEX 2024: ZOTAC has a gaming handheld to rival the ROG Ally X

Although the ASUS ROG Ally X has been announced with exciting updates to its hardware, ZOTAC, the company’s that’s more well known for its NVIDIA graphics cards and mini PCs, have announced its own gaming handheld to be unveiled in COMPUTEX this year.

The ZOTAC ZONE, as the company calls it, is powered by a newer Ryzen 7 8840U processor and is paired to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM. Like its rival, the ZONE sports a 7-inch screen but it is an AMOLED panel that refreshes at 120Hz, while an alleged specs leak by Videocardz further reveals other exciting features such as Hall Effect Joystick and Triggers, 2-Stage Adjustable Triggers, Radial Dial, and possibly two USB 4 ports, the handheld is also expected to weigh under 700g.

While these are the details that we have gotten at the moment, it will be interesting to see which market ZOTAC will be selling its gaming handheld, and of course, we should expect it to price similarly or slightly lower than the ROG Ally X if it wants to compete in the space.
