Acer’s Switch series notebooks gets two new models as the company has announced the Switch V10 and Switch One 10 in COMPUTEX, designed for students and budget-conscious family, these 2-in-1 notebooks sports metal covers and can be detached from their keyboard docks while sporting four form factors – notebook, pad, tent and display.
The Switch V 10 tablet device has a range of striking colours, namely Pearl White, Shale Black, Coral Red, Peacock Blue and Navy Blue, available in 32GB and 64GB storage configurations, it has a built-in fingerprint scanner for Windows Hello, dual band MIMO 802.11ac wireless for fast wireless connections and an antimicrobial corning gorilla glass, the slim keyboard dock will offer additional 500GB of storage and two USB Type-A ports should you require expandability, which makes it a rather flexible device. The Switch One 10 will do without the fingerprint scanner while it continues to offer the same form factor application as the Switch V 10.
Acer’s new Switch series notebooks will be powered by Intel’s Atom ‘Cherry-Trail’ processor and comes preloaded with Windows 10 onboard, the Switch V 10 will go on sale in North America at Q3 this year starting at $249, the Switch One 10 will be available in July onwards and retails from $199.
