CIMB have announced that customers who uses the bank’s smartphone app will no longer need to request for a SMS TAC when making a transaction via CIMB phone app, as CIMB will soon launch and introduce their customers with the new SecureTAC system on their app.
With the new SecureTAC system, customers can authorise transactions on their app with an easy and secure one tap approval. For safety, customers phone will be authenticated & paired with their CIMB Clicks credentials, only transaction approved via recognised device will be processed. Similarly to their current security system, customer uses touch ID or fingerprint unlocking to check their account balance while other function require the customer to input their CIMB Clicks password.
The process is easy, the customer would only need to verify their transaction details, scroll down to the bottom of the confirmation page and tap on approve. According to CIMB, the SecureTAC system is not live yet but it will be rolled out soon.
