CES 2022: ASUS ROG launches gaming tablet with 12th Gen Intel Core & NVIDIA GeForce RTX GPU

ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) has unveiled its very powerful, all-new gaming tablet, the ASUS ROG Flow Z13. This tablet vows to tackle all the latest games and applications you throw at it without faltering, and the best part is — it’s practical enough to be brought anywhere you want.

Design

Okay, I know it’s not the thinnest tablet out there but the Flow Z13 boasts up to a 12th Gen Intel Core and NVIDIA GeForce RTX GPU, so I think it’s a fair exchange. Despite being only 12mm thick, it’s built-in with a wide vapour chamber and large fans for increased heat transfer. The brand also claims that the fan never exceeds 40dB even when under full load so you don’t have to worry about everyone in the office looking at you when you accidentally open up a game.

For its display, there are two options — the 13.4-inch 16:10 UHD IPS touchscreen display that pushes 60 Hz refresh rate with support for 85% DCI-P3 colour gamut; or the 13.4-inch 16:10 FHD IPS touchscreen display that pushes 120Hz refresh rate with support for 100% sRGB.

Hardware

As previously mentioned, you can choose for the Flow Z13 to be equipped with up to a 12th Gen Intel Core i9-12900H processor paired with NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 3050 Ti Laptop GPU. Moreover, you can combine it with up to 16GB LPDDR5 RAM and up to 1TB PCIe SSD, allowing for speedy performances.

Features

You can use the tablet with standard keyboard and mouse controls, and if you don’t want to bring around a separate keyboard, the screen cover can double as a fully-functional RGB-backlit keyboard with 1.7mm of travel. This tablet also brings the best of both worlds by supporting both mobile and traditional PC games so you can enjoy mobile or PC gaming on the go.

The tablet also offers an array of ports like a 3.5mm audio jack, one USB 2.0 Type-A port, one USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port, one Thunderbolt 4 port, and a MicroSD card reader. Other than that, it packs a 56Wh battery, runs on Windows 11 Pro, and supports Wi-Fi 6.
