Patriot isn’t waiting for COMPUTEX to announce new PC components, as the company has expanded the Viper Gaming portfolio with the Viper Steel DDR4 RAM and VPR100 SSD with RGB lighting, it has also introduced its first Thunderbolt 3 external SSD.
The Viper Steel may look just like a typical performance RAM with a gunmetal grey heatsink, however it delivers an impressive XMP frequency of up to 4400MHz and a low 19-19-19-39 timing, it has been tested to work with the latest Intel and AMD systems.
Next, the VPR100 M.2 SSD sports a beautiful RGB heatsink that will soon be made compatible with various motherboard’s RGB sync lighting systems, the SSD uses the Phison 5012 series controller and PCIe Gen 3×4 interface, hence it is able to deliver sequential read speeds of up to 3100MB/s and sequential write speeds of up to 3000MB/s, it is being offered with up to 1TB of storage.
To kickstart its support for the Thunderbolt 3 standard, Patriot is introducing the EVLVR Thunderbolt external SSD, it houses a PCIe Gen 3×2 SSD that boasts sequential read speeds of up to 1600MB/s and sequential write speeds of up to 1000MB/s, it is available in storage capacities of 500GB and 1TB and retails from US$200 onwards.
Patriot expects to ship the above products by March this year, and you can expect it to pop up on shelves in your favourite PC retailers around the same time.
