CES 2019: Lenovo’s new Legion monitors are ultra-fast and ultra-wide

Apart from all the laptops, accessories and desktops, Lenovo also decided to unveil new monitors for better gaming visuals. The Legion Y44w Monitor comes with an ultra-wide display whereas the Legion Y27gq Monitor comes with an amazing refresh rate that helps avoid issues such as screen tear and choppy frames.

The Legion Y44w Monitor supports 3840×1200 resolution with peak display brightness of 450 nits. The ultra-wide curved monitor has 144Hz refresh rate and 4ms response time that offers buttery smooth gameplay, and it also has VESA Certified DisplayHDR 400 and AMD Radeon FreeSync 2 technology.

Other than that, the monitor comes with a detachable Harman Kardon certified speaker and users can actually expand the display’s capabilities by connecting two external devices simultaneously with the two USB 3.1 Type-C ports. The monitor also has a HDMI 2.0 port, a DP1.4 port which are all placed at its one push port-hub.

For those who prefer a slightly smaller size monitor, the company produced the Legion Y27gq Monitor that measures at 27 inches. The NearEdgeless QHD display supports 2560×1440 resolution and even though it’s smaller than the Y44w Monitor, the Y27gq Monitor has 240Hz refresh rate with 0.5ms response time, in addition to being integrated with the NVIDIA G-SYNC HDR technology.

Like the Y44w Monitor, this gaming monitor also comes with two USB 3.1 Type-C ports, not to mention it also has the similar detachable Harman Kardon certified speaker.

Both the monitors are expected to be available from April 2019, and the Legion Y44w Monitor will cost from $1199.99 whereas the Legion Y27gq Monitor will cost from $999.99.
