CES 2019: Kodak reveals the Kodak Smile Instant Print lineup, priced from $100

Kodak has been in the industry for years, and its latest products are the Kodak Smile Classic Instant Print Digital Camera, the Kodak Smile Instant Print Digital Camera and the Kodak Smile Instant Digital Printer.

Both Kodak Smile Classic and Kodak Smile comes with an in-built printer so that they can function like Instax cameras that allow users to instantly capture and print out their photos. Kodak Smile Classic features a classic Polaroid-like design with a pop-up viewfinder, a 10-second timer, an automatic flash and also a microSD card slot.

That being said, unlike older versions of instant cameras, the Kodak Smile Classic is capable of storing images that you might not want to instantly print. With the microSD slot, you can download images that you want to save for later in the card for future printing. The Kodak Smile Classic prints out pictures with the size of 3.51-inch x 4.25-inch on Kodak Zink sticky-based photo paper, and with the Kodak Instant Print Companion app allows printing from smartphones via Bluetooth.

For those who are not going for the classic design, they can actually check out the Kodak Smile that is a 10MP digital camera. It comes with an LCD viewfinder display, a 10-second timer, an automatic flash and a microSD card slot. The Kodak Smile also supports image-printing like the Kodak Smile Classic.

Kodak also introduced an instant printer so you can opt for the Kodak Smile Instant Digital Printer if you’re looking for something cheap and you don’t mind missing out on the instant camera. The Kodak Smile Instant Digital Printer requires the Instant Print app that is free, and users can just send their photos via Bluetooth to the printer for immediate printing.

In terms of pricing, the Kodak Smile Instant Digital Camera and the Kodak Smile Instant Print Digital Camera will cost you $100 but the Kodak Smile Classic Instant Print Digital Camera will cost you another extra $50 at the price of $150. The official release date has yet to be announced for the product lineup, but hopefully it’ll arrive in Malaysia soon.
