Celcom finally offers VoLTE, but only to iPhone users for now

Celcom has finally joined other telcos by offering VoLTE to its iPhone users.

VoLTE, also known as Voice over LTE, is a technology that lets you utilize the 4G networks to make your phone calls so that you can enjoy HD voice quality and surf and talk using the 4G network. Yes 4G is the first telco to offer VoLTE support, but many other telcos have done the same. The only ones left are Maxis and Celcom. Well, now it’s just Maxis.

However, only Celcom users with iPhone 7 and the models that come after can enjoy Celcom VoLTE. The company will offer VoLTE to many more devices in the future, but there’s no exact date yet.

If you’d like to switch on VoLTE on your iPhone, go to Settings and select Mobile Data. Then, click on Mobile Data Options and select Voice and Data > 4G and turn VoLTE On. Don’t worry, VoLTE doesn’t come with extra charges.
