This case transforms your Galaxy S8 into a Game Boy

The Galaxy S8’s Infinity Display is really attractive when it comes to content consumption, despite many apps not supporting the new wider aspect ratio, the folks over at Hyperkin has made a case that takes up half of the phone’s screen, and transforming the phone into a working Game Boy, complete with the handheld console’s buttons on it.

The Hyperkin SmartBoy was originally intended to be an April Fool’s joke back then, and now that this accessory has surfaced as a workable retail product, it has even gotten its license by Samsung’s Mobile Accessory Partnership Program. Best of all, this accessory will literally work with any Smartphones that feature USB Type-C ports, while supporting both Game Boy Original and Color game cartridges regardless of region.

Unfortunately, the Hyperkin SmartBoy will only be sold in the U.S and Korea, it will be available later this year at US$49.99 (RM216). This accessory is clearly targeted at hard core Nintendo Game Boy fans, and since it hasn’t gotten any form of endorsement from Nintendo, we assume that this accessory is running off some custom emulator that is able to read those old cartridges. If you are thinking to head over to the U.S and Korea, let us know if you would be getting one for yourself.
