Camera sample photos from the OnePlus 3 are out, and they look promising

There’s probably nothing you don’t know of OnePlus’ next flagship, the OnePlus 3. The company is gearing up for next week’s VR unveiling of the handset and its CEO, Pete Lau has taken liberty to upload a couple of photos taken with the OnePlus 3 online on Weibo, and the results seem promising. Check them out below:

Pete Lau appears to be very much a food photographer and enthusiast like you and I, uploading three camera photo samples which happened to be of his scrumptious meal in all crispy goodness. A Japanese lunch, perhaps? Also, not forgetting, a selfie photo of him and a fellow friend. The OnePlus 3 is said to sport a 16MP rear camera and an 8MP front facing shooter. Based on the food pictures taken, the 16MP camera seems to perform pretty well under indoor lighting, maintaining a good amount of sharpness with minimal grain. The selfie photo appears to be up to standard as well for an 8MP camera.

Other rumored specs include a 5.5-inch 1080p AMOLED display, a Snapdragon 820 SoC, 4/6GB of RAM with 64GB of storage, a battery of 3,000mAh capacity, including a return of NFC support, altogether with a new metal design, moving away from the company’s signature Sandstone back of its previous flagships. What do you think of the OnePlus 3’s camera sample photos?
